What if I am new patient and only want to receive Hormone Pellet Therapy?
I want to continue to do my pellets with your office but do not want membership, is that possible?
Yes! Patients who only do hormone pellets with our office can continue to get their pellets here as they already have! You will just need to have 1 visit per year with your provider to go over how you are doing and your labs. This visit is included in the cost of your pellets.
Why do so many offices transition to a cash pay model and not accept insurance?
Many people believe that leaving insurance and charging cash is primarily about increasing revenue or “making more money.” However, this is not the case. Transitioning to a membership model does not lead to increased clinic revenue because memberships are limited. Instead, it allows providers to spend more time with patients, which is essential for delivering the high-quality care that we prioritize. Working with insurance has become increasingly challenging, as reimbursement rates continue to decrease. In some instances, the cost of certain medical products is higher than what insurance allows us to bill patients. For example, many IUDs cost more for us to purchase than the reimbursement we receive from insurance. Additionally, two years ago, all insurance plans reduced reimbursement rates for nurse practitioners by 15% across the board. In a clinic, revenue is generated only when providers are actively seeing patients. This often leads to busy clinic days where there is little time to respond to portal messages, review lab results or imaging, or refill prescriptions. Consequently, providers may see patients all day and then spend an additional 2 to 3 hours after clinic hours working through their portal messages.
When will membership services start?
Our last day accepting insurance for visits will be February 27, 2026. We will begin seeing patients under our membership model on March 2, 2026.
Will there be different membership options?
I want to continue to get my compounded GLP1 medication from your office but do not want to sign up for your comprehensive membership, is that possible?
Yes! Our patients who are doing a weight loss program with us and are getting their compounded GLP1 prescriptions through our office can continue to do so without signing up for our Comprehensive Membership. We will need to see you 4 times a year to monitor your progress and ensure you are doing well on your medications. Because we will need to see you regularly, you will need to sign up for our Weight Loss Membership .
I am a patient that does both weight loss and pellets with your office, do I need your comprehensive membership?
No. If you are doing both hormone pellets and compounded GLP1’s you will need to sign up for our Weight Loss Membership . This will ensure your access to GLP1’s, and 4 weight-loss visits a year with our providers.
What’s included for those who enroll in the comprehensive one-year membership?
What is not included in my comprehensive membership?
Lab tests: Many tests are covered partially or fully by insurance, but some may require a deductible, or coinsurance, or may not be covered at all. Specialty tests (like stool, urine, and saliva) are not included in your membership or covered by insurance.
All healthcare services outside of Vibrant Health of Colorado such as medical specialists, imaging, labs, Urgent Care visits at other clinics, ER visits, surgeries, etc.
Do I still need insurance?
We recommend you keep or enroll in health insurance for any services needed outside of what our office covers as listed above and in the membership contract.
I get my controlled substance prescriptions from your office, and I am trying to find another provider to see but do not want to go without my medication. How do I continue getting my medications?
Don’t worry! We will continue to see you for 6 months after we have transitioned away from taking insurance to ensure that you have time to establish with a new provider and not go without your medications. All patients obtaining prescribed controlled substances require a visit every 3 months. We will see you for 2 visits within 6 months to ensure you continue to get your medications. These visits will be self-pay in the amount of $150 per visit. These visits can be completed in person or via telehealth.
Can Vibrant Health of Colorado be my primary care provider?
Yes! For most patients we can be your PCP! There are some insurance plans, particularly HMO’s that require an in-network provider to be listed as your PCP. We recommend you call your insurance to verify. Even in these cases, we often can function as your PCP.
Do you offer family memberships?
Yes! We offer family memberships for our standard comprehensive membership program!
If you enroll by November 17th , 2025 before 5pm, the first membership is at the regular membership fee of $249 a month. Each additional family member who signs up for a membership will receive an additional discount off the regular membership fee. The second family member will have a membership fee of $150 a month, for the 3rd family member and beyond the monthly membership fee will be $75 a month. When signing up, you can enroll yourself, a spouse or partner, or any dependents under 26 years old. (Excluding a spouse or partner, other family members over 26 years old are not eligible for this discount and will need to enroll in their own membership)
If you enroll on or after November 17th , 2025 after 5pm, the first membership is at the regular membership fee of $279 a month. Do I get a discount if I pay upfront for the whole year of comprehensive membership instead of paying monthly?
Yes! You will get a 20% discount on the primary comprehensive membership if you pay for the entire year of a comprehensive membership at one time.
Can I use my FSA/HSA account to pay for membership fees?
Many of our members use their FSA accounts to cover any out-of-pocket medical expenses outside of their membership fees,such as labs, prescriptions, imaging, supplements, pellets, etc. We are always happy to help provide any documentation you need.
Laws have recently changed concerning use of HSA accounts. As of January 2026, it may be possible for some individuals to use HSA funds to pay for membership fees.
We recommend checking with your FSA/HSA provider to confirm how you can permissibly use your funds because we cannot advise on which individuals may be eligible to use HSA funds for our membership fees.
How do I cancel my membership?
If I cancel my membership, can I rejoin at a later time?
If a member cancels their membership and later decides to rejoin within 12 months of the cancellation, there will be a rejoin fee of $500, in addition to the regular membership fee. If you want to rejoin, and our patient panel is full you will be placed on a waitlist.
Does my membership automatically renew?
Your annual membership is set to auto-renew every year for another one-year period. Approximately 30 days before your membership is up for renewal, we’ll send you an email to discuss your renewal options.
Should you continue to renew your membership, you will be renewing at the cost of the membership fee in place at the time of your renewal.
Do you limit the number of members in the practice?
Yes, we limit the number of members we have. We do this to decrease our wait times, allow longer visits, and be able to offer all the services we do.
What if I am new patient and only want to sign up for the weight loss program?
New patients will be seen for an initial visit for $150 and will then sign up for our weight loss one-year membership. During this first visit, we will complete a full health history and discuss your concerns. If you choose to move forward with membership, we will then order a full lab panel for our weight loss program. You can choose to bill your insurance for your labs or will have the ability to pay at the time of service for your labs at a wholesale price.
Weight loss membership ($50/month) includes: four provider visits per year related to weight loss; and access to ordering GLP1 medications which are paid for when you order. The cost of your compounded GLP1 medication is not included in the membership fee. No additional medical services are included with the weight loss membership.
Can I schedule a meet-and-greet appointment before I sign up for a membership?
Yes! You can schedule a meet and greet with one of our providers for a $150 fee paid at the time of your meeting. This will be an opportunity to meet with a provider, talk about the practice, and determine if our office is a good fit for you. We are unable to diagnose, prescribe medications, conduct a physical exam, or order testing at this meet-and-greet appointment. If you choose to sign up for a membership at or on the same day as this meet and greet, the charge for the meet-and-greet appointment will be credited towards your membership fee.

It has always been my passion to provide high-quality healthcare that combines traditional medicine and functional medicine, all within an accessible, insurance-based model. As the owner of Vibrant Health of Colorado (VHC), my goal has been, and continues to be, to make this level of care as accessible as possible. All people should have access to personalized, compassionate, and effective healthcare, regardless of their financial status. Taking insurance has allowed us to offer this.
Insurance companies, however, have made this increasingly difficult. Due to changing insurance regulations, declining reimbursements, and rising operational costs, we’ve been faced with nearly insurmountable challenges in delivering the quality of care you deserve through the current system. These challenges have led to difficulties in scheduling timely appointments (some patients are waiting months to see their provider) and rushed visits, resulting in providers having less time to listen and thoroughly address individual needs. This creates late nights for providers, as they respond to portal messages, review lab results, and complete charting outside of clinic hours. Each of these factors is contributing to provider burnout and patient frustration.
As a team, we have considered many options that might improve the current situation. We have determined that a membership-based model is the most effective way for VHC to continue as a successful practice, providing exceptional and personalized care that genuinely focuses on building strong relationships with each of our patients. As of March 2, 2026, we will no longer accept insurance and will transition fully to a membership-based practice to support your health needs more effectively and sustainably.
What this means for our patients is that, for an affordable monthly fee, you will have access to comprehensive healthcare, including primary care, gynecology, hormone therapy, weight loss support, functional medicine, and all other services we currently provide.

We’ve worked hard to keep the membership fee as reasonable as possible, lower than comparable functional medicine practices, to make this transition accessible for as many of our patients as possible.

We do not want you to be without your medications, and we know it may take time to establish care with another provider. We will continue to see you for six months (two visits) without a membership while you find a new provider. Please see our website for details on how these visits will work.

While this new model will be able to meet many of your healthcare needs, we recommend maintaining some level of insurance coverage for emergencies and/or medical services beyond what our clinic provides. If helpful, we can provide you with the name and contact information of a local insurance broker who specializes in affordable health insurance options that can be combined with membership-based practice models.
Many patients may be able to use their HSA funds to cover their membership fees. This varies by plan, and there are limitations. To find out definitively, you will want to reach out to your HSA provider.
The number of available memberships is limited, as this will enable our office and providers to dedicate the necessary time to providing personalized care to our members. We are accepting enrollments now to secure your membership, but your membership payments will not begin until March 2, 2026. Patients who sign up now through November 17th, 2025, will enroll at a reduced rate of $249 a month. Enrollment on November 18th and after will be $279 a month. We are also excited to be able to offer family discounts and a 20% discount for the primary comprehensive membership paid in full at the start of the yearly membership.
For those of you who find that a membership model is not the right option for you, we will help to ensure a smooth transition and make sure you have what you need, including your medical records, while you establish care with a new provider. We will continue to see patients through insurance, as we do now, through February 27, 2026. Effective March 2nd, 2026, we will no longer be a member of OB/GYN affiliates, and will not be in network with insurance.
